Markets Served
Independent stores wear every hat and answer to no OEM. In Canada you also answer to a provincial regulator and to CASL. You need marketing and technology that punch above their price — and that keep a record you can produce.
The challenge
There’s no factory co-op or corporate marketing team. Every tool has to earn its keep and deliver ROI you can see, or it’s gone.
Owner, marketer, desk manager, BDC. A partner that takes marketing and communication off your plate gives you back your day.
Registration and advertising standards are provincial — OMVIC in Ontario, AMVIC in Alberta, the Vehicle Sales Authority in British Columbia — while CASL is federal and puts the onus of proving consent on you. Records that hold up matter more when there’s no compliance department behind you.

View product →Why independent dealers choose Vicimus
Most independent stores already own a DMS, a CRM and a website. The research says the systems do not talk to each other and nobody is actively mining the data — which is a different problem from needing another tool, and it is the one that costs you repeat business.
Baseline figures come from DealerSignals’ Tech Adoption Index, a May 2026 scan of 1,760 US dealership websites, which found the average dealer running 3.8 of 15 core retail-technology categories — with CRM, DMS and F&I appearing far less often than customer-facing storefront technology. Marks in the first column describe that measured baseline and the maturity tiers it supports, not any particular dealership and not any named vendor. “Build it in-house” describes assembling the same capability from separate tools plus internal staff time. Every store differs; if this does not describe yours, that is worth a conversation rather than a correction.
What good looks like

“Maria and the team at Vicimus are one of the best and most reliable vendors I have ever worked with. The level of customer service has been first class — better than most vendor relationships I have experienced in over 20 years.”
Julia Shauf“Bumper has got it right — the right message to the right people at the right times.”
