Comparison

Vicimus and AutoSync: what each one is for.

AutoSync is TRADER Corporation's consolidated dealer suite — CRM, inventory, websites, advertising, desking and fixed ops under one roof. Vicimus is a retention and lifecycle layer that runs on top of whatever you already have. The question isn't which is better; it's whether you want to consolidate or to add.

The real difference

The difference is architectural, not a feature list.

01

A suite is an all-or-nothing decision

AutoSync's value is that its parts are connected to each other. That is a real advantage, and it is also the trade: the connection is between AutoSync products. Getting the benefit means moving your CRM, your website and your inventory tool onto it.

02

A layer is an additive one

Bumper, GloveBox and Odometer sit on top of your existing DMS and CRM. If you already run Activix, or Xtime, or something else entirely, nothing has to move for retention to start working.

03

Both can be true at once

Plenty of Canadian dealers run AutoSync and want more systematic lifecycle contact than their CRM's campaign tooling gives them. That is not a competitive situation; it is the common one.

Side by side

What each one covers

AutoSync's coverage is taken from its own published product list. Vicimus's is what we build. Where both say yes, both mean it — the row is there so you can see the overlap, not to imply we do it better.

When AutoSync is the right answer

  • You are replacing several vendors at once and want one contract, one support line and one integration story.
  • Your CRM, website and inventory tooling are all up for renewal in the same window.
  • Consolidation itself is the goal — fewer suppliers is worth more to you than best-of-breed in any one category.

When a layer is the right answer

  • Your DMS and CRM work and you have no appetite to move them.
  • The gap is specifically after the sale — service retention, equity timing, lifecycle contact — rather than across the whole stack.
  • You want to be able to remove one piece without unpicking the rest.
