1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how Vicimus Inc. ("Vicimus," "we," "us") handles personal information in two different roles, and it's worth separating them up front:

• As a website operator. When you visit vicimus.com, request a demo, or contact us, we collect and use your information directly, as described below.
• As a service provider to dealers. When a dealership uses the Bumper platform to run retention, advertising, or call-tracking campaigns, Vicimus processes that dealer's customer data on the dealer's behalf and under their instructions — we are a processor, not the party responsible for that data's collection or the consent under which it was gathered. Questions about how a specific dealership handles your information as their customer should go to that dealership.

2. Information we collect

Through the website: contact, demo-request, support, and career-application form fields (such as name, work email, phone, dealership or company name, and the message you send), plus resumes, cover letters, and support screenshots you choose to attach. We also collect standard analytics data (pages visited, referring source, device/browser type, approximate location from IP address).

Through the Bumper platform, on behalf of our dealer clients: the customer records a dealership uploads or connects via their DMS/CRM integration — typically name, contact information, and vehicle or service history — used to run the retention and marketing programs that dealership has configured.

3. SMS and MMS communications

When you use Bumper text-message services, Vicimus receives your mobile number, the messages you send, and any comments or feedback supplied through the service. Messages are stored on systems operated by Vicimus and trusted service providers.

You may opt in through a participating dealership's customer paperwork or by replying YES to a confirmation message. Texts may include customer service and support, event invitations, service reminders, and information about relevant products or services. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time.

4. How we use information

• To respond to inquiries, schedule demos, provide sales and support, review career applications, and communicate with applicants.
• To operate the Bumper platform's retention, advertising, and call-tracking features for our dealer clients, strictly per that client's configuration and instructions.
• To improve our website and products, and to understand aggregate usage patterns.
• To meet legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including under CASL, TCPA, and CAN-SPAM (see our CASL Compliance page for how that applies to marketing messages sent through the platform).

5. Sharing and third parties

We do not rent or sell personal information. We may disclose information when you have consented; to trusted service providers processing it on our instructions; to the dealership using Bumper to communicate with you; to enforce our terms; to comply with subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process; to investigate fraud, unlawful activity, safety threats, or violations of our terms; or as part of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets. We may also share aggregated information that does not identify an individual.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties. Information may be shared with subcontractors solely to provide supporting services such as customer service, hosting, and message delivery.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for core functionality (like remembering your market/language selection) and for privacy-conscious analytics, to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some site features.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and to withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time. 8. Data security & retention

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we handle, including precautions intended to authenticate recipients of SMS/MMS messages. We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law.

No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Information sent through SMS/MMS travels through third-party infrastructure, including message-delivery platforms and carrier networks, that Vicimus does not control.

9. International transfer

Vicimus operates in Canada and the United States. Information may be processed or stored in either country as part of delivering the service.

10. Children's privacy

Our website and platform are directed at businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or applicable law change. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page.
