Expectations
Work alongside our marketing team to strategize, plan, create, execute and manage all of our social and digital communications.
Proactively explore new ideas, trends, strategies, tactics, and platforms to connect with and carry on conversations with our audience of automotive dealerships, associations and manufacturers.
Plan, manage and execute the work for our active social media calendar.
Immerse yourself in automotive, understanding everything from industry trends to the daily challenges car dealers work to address on a daily basis.
Write and deliver engaging content that clearly communicates our messages while reinforcing who we are and what we stand for.
Compile data across multiple social media platforms to present monthly performance reports that highlight important insights and learning to guide our strategy
Join our team in the thinking, planning, development and execution of campaigns to support our sales team efforts both in creating content .
Write a minimum of two blogs each month, supported by compelling social posts
Manage and execute social media programs and reputation management for select clients of Vicimus.
Work with our product and creative teams to write editable copy for our growing library of campaigns and promotions available to clients using Vicimus platform solutions
Connect with all relevant departments to ensure content is reviewed, vetted, approved, and timelines are kept on track.
Keep our management team well informed and up-to-date on all activity.
Work from our downtown Toronto or London offices, or remotely if you have experience working productively that way.
Communicate openly and be receptive to ideas.

Experience
• 3 years in a similar social marketing role
• Hands on experience using social scheduling software and understanding of social KPIs
• Experience writing both engaging short form content and longer article length content
• Readable online history of your activity on behalf of your previous employers, clients or yourself
• Automotive knowledge is an asset, but bringing passion to this subject is a necessity
• Bilingual would be great, but if not, our team will translate

Jr. Web Developer

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our development team. This is a full time position in London, Ontario.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, eager to learn and enjoys a fast paced, always changing work environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce well designed, testable, efficient, reusable code by following best practices and established standards.
  • Improve existing projects’ code base, improving existing elements and adding new features.
  • Build micro-services, reusable libraries and features into existing projects, providing an appropriate amount of documentation and testing.
  • Work together with designers to match visual design intent
  • Work in a team that is focused on continual improvement of their skills, including participating in weekly discussions

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel, and Lumen
  • An understanding of basic design patterns
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Familiarity with MySQL databases and query language.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Experience with Angular and Typescript is an asset (but not required)
  • Experience with Composer is an asset (but not required)
